Reframing

Reframing seeks to challenge and reshape stereotypes, fostering new discussions and perspectives on long-standing approaches while shedding light on biases. Reframing concentrates on the portrayal of female murder victims within the True Crime genre. The aim is to find ways to humanize murder victims and provide a more profound understanding, moving away from their objectification and portraying them as voiceless ‘erotic kills’. Reframing also looks at rethinking ways to empower the Femme Fatale. The work attached to Reframing is SOMEWHERE OUT THERE (a True Crime concept with comedic elements) and TINKABEL (a psychological thriller about the femme fatale). Both are the work of Rachel Tillotson.
